HAT FORUM, Sat March 4, 11am -1pm

HAT weekly forum: Sat March 3, 11am - 1pm LOCATION: OISE, 252 Bloor St West FACILITATOR: Peter Davis TOPIC: FREEDOM OF SPEECH AT CANADIAN UNIVERSITIES Does the Canadian Criminal Code adequately deter certain interest groups from willfully blocking or shouting down speakers who express opposing views? Have university administrators failed to take adequate measures to protect free speech and create a safe atmosphere on campus? Is there a mechanism in place to identify and discipline professors whose political/world views are so overwhelmingly biased that they inhibit open discussion in the classroom?
The Humanist Association of Toronto provides a focus of activities and discussion for Humanists in the Toronto area. Please note: HAT events are open to the public, and views expressed do not necessarily represent the official views of the Humanist Association of Toronto
