Animal protection is not a partisan issue. Canadians across the political spectrum care about improving animal welfare. This private member’s bill addresses three specific and achievable goals, to modernize our animal protection laws and bring them into the 21st century.

Nathaniel Erskine-Smith has a BA (Politics) and a JD (Law) from Queen’s University and a Master of Law from Oxford. His commitment to animal rights came from his mother, who instilled in him a respect for animals as he was growing up. He is vegan, loves baseball and is the proud father of his three-month-old son.
