Join us for an engaging presentation on the things some people believe as fact, taking religion as the ultimate authority on life and death. This is called woo. With tongue only partly in cheek, we will survey the various absurd beliefs that people hold without evidence. From pay-to-pray hotlines to weeping statues, we will survey all kinds of woo and discuss how to debunk them. Do you have a favourite woo you’d like to share?
